UFC Fighter Paige VanZant Will Appear In May 2019 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue!

Paige VanZant Posed In A Skimpy Bikini For Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue!

Paige VanZant earlier competed in UFC Strawweight division, where she earned notable wins over Felice Herrig, Alex Chambers, and Bec Rawlings.

Van Zant (8-4 MMA, 5-3 UFC) had her UFC Flyweight debut on January 14, 2018, against Jessica Rose-Clark, but she broke her arm in the first round and lost the match via unanimous decision. Paige was out of the competition for a year and underwent two surgeries.

Paige VanZant last fought in the main card of UFC on ESPN+ 1 on January 19, 2019, where she submitted Rachael Ostovich. “12 Gauge” was linked for the match against Poliana Botelho at UFC 236. Yet, Paige suffered an arm fracture again, which means she’ll remain sidelined for some time.

But look at the bright side. At least VanZant has time to do other things in her life. Paige officially became the second MMA fighter, after the former Bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey, who will be featured in Sports Illustrated’s famed Swimsuit Issue.

Sports Illustrated officially published the news on an Instagram profile. The video was filmed in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. (h/t MMAMania)

“I feel like when you’re in Sports Illustrated, that means you make it,” Paige VanZant said in the video. “So it’s a really big deal. I’m mostly excited for people to see this side of me. I think people do forget that, yes, I’m a professional fighter … I punch people in the face for a living. But you can look really cute, too.”

Here’s some more from Paige’s Instagram page.

“We are here in Puerto Vallarta, in one of the smaller suits of the day,” Paige VanZant said. “I am having to get a little bit comfortable in front of this whole crew.”

But this is not Paige’s greatest success outside of Octagon. Paige VanZant competed on season 22 of Dancing with the Stars show with a professional dancer Mark Ballas, where she earned the second place.
