Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett is known for his exciting fights inside the UFC, but recently, he took his larger-than-life persona outside the Octagon for a heated gym confrontation. After months of online back-and-forth with rival Dennis Frimpong, the two agreed to settle their differences in person at Manchester Top Team gym.
Frimpong, who competes with Oktagon MMA, holds a professional record of 3-2, but despite his solid background, he found himself on the receiving end of Pimblett’s experience and grappling skills.
The fight wasn’t a casual sparring match, it quickly turned into a real contest, with both competitors showing no hesitation to go all out in front of a crowd, including UFC fighter Molly McCann.
The character of Paddy Pimblett on full display. Gets pieced up by a fighter who’s first amateur bout was five years after paddy won the cage warriors title and is currently 3-2.
Once he gets him down he holds the choke. Very bad look. https://t.co/OAGwhv6IVY

Pimblett Shows Grappling Superiority in Intense Gym Fight
From the start, it was clear that both fighters were taking this seriously. They went at it hard, exchanging strikes on the feet for a few minutes before Pimblett took control. He landed a smooth takedown around three minutes into the fight, immediately showcasing his superior grappling ability. Frimpong, despite his best efforts, struggled to keep up with Pimblett’s pace on the ground, quickly finding himself in a dangerous position.
Before long, Pimblett had Frimpong in a rear-naked choke, forcing the smaller fighter to tap out. However, the drama didn’t end there.
Chaos Breaks Out as Pimblett Refuses to Release the Hold
After Frimpong tapped, Pimblett did not immediately release the choke. The tension in the gym reached its peak as the two teams began arguing. What was supposed to be a resolved feud turned into a chaotic scene, with members of both sides rushing to break up the altercation.
Finally, after some back-and-forth, Pimblett and Frimpong embraced, seemingly ending their rivalry with mutual respect. Though the fight was intense, the two fighters left the gym on better terms, having finally settled their differences in a physical way.
What’s Next for Paddy Pimblett?
Looking ahead, Pimblett’s focus will likely return to the UFC. The organization recently announced its return to London on March 22, and given his popularity, it’s highly probable that Pimblett will be included on the card. The talk of a potential fight between him and Michael Chandler continues to circulate, and considering Pimblett’s eight-fight win streak, this matchup makes a lot of sense.
With major wins over the likes of Tony Ferguson, Jared Gordon, and Jordan Leavitt, fans are eager to see who Pimblett will face next as he continues his rise in the UFC. One thing’s for sure: whether in or out of the Octagon, “The Baddy” knows how to make an impression.
