Frederic Vosgröne, the German light heavyweight often compared to both Paddy Pimblett and Brock Lesnar, delivered another statement win at OKTAGON 76. The fighter known as “The Neanderthal” already went viral earlier this year for his aggressive debut and quirky personality, picking up more than half a million Instagram followers along the way.
Fighting on home soil in Frankfurt, Vosgröne was featured in the co-main event spot against Brazilian opponent Fabio Moraes.
Fast Finish in Frankfurt
Vosgröne didn’t waste much time. After securing a takedown, he quickly moved into mount and hammered away with short strikes. Moraes, unable to escape, rolled and gave up his back.
Vosgröne immediately locked in a rear-naked choke, forcing Moraes to tap in the opening round. With the win, the German prospect climbed to 5-0 as a professional, all finishes, all submissions.
Afterward, Vosgröne showed some swagger by dusting off his shoulders before the referee raised his hand.

Post-Fight Drama
Despite the dominant showing, the night ended with tension between fighter and promotion. Vosgröne’s scheduled return is listed for OKTAGON 78 in Cologne on October 18, but the German hinted that things might change.
“I don’t know if I’m going to fight at OKTAGON again,” he said. “I don’t know if I wanna fight for an organization that treats me like s— every time I fight here or I’m attending an event.
“So, I don’t know if the fight in Cologne is going to happen. That’s all I’m gonna say.”
Visibly upset, Vosgröne stormed out of the press conference, leaving questions about his future unanswered.
