- Paddy Pimblett has returned to training after evidently gaining weight during time off
- “The Baddy” is working on some new strategies
After securing his second win under the UFC banner, Paddy Pimblett celebrated his UFC London victory by enjoying his favorite treats, gaining excess weight in the process. Despite not being officially booked for a fight yet, “The Baddy” has decided to hit the gym again and work on his game.
The Baddy is back!
In a recent episode of BaddyTV, Pimblett did not shy away from talking about his weight gain and said that he’s totally fine being a subject of discussion online. Regardless, “The Baddy” insists that his “fat” physique is no big deal as he will still take somebody out inside the octagon in his return.
“Get this weight off that and I’ll be ready to punch anyone’s head in whenever you want me to,” Pimblett said.
“I don’t look that fat,” he added. “Everyone loves calling me fat on the internet so we’ll go along with it.”
A new approach is coming
The episode featured Pimblett working on his grappling with his coach Justin Flores. Confirming his pupil’s progress, Flores said that Pimblett has been “adding some new layers of technique.”
“Paddy looks good,” Flores said in the video. “It’s good to see him again. He came out in November and he had a big win in the UFC and it was great to see him do that. Came back kind of after camp, gained a little weight. Kind of shedding it slowly and adding some new layers of technique, but mostly you know, getting sweaty, making him work. His grappling looks really good so I’m stoked on it.”
Prior to his return to training, Pimblett has been linked to a fight with Ottman Azaitar when the UFC comes back to London. However, nothing is concrete yet at this point.
