Our favorite Axe Murder is back, start getting excited

Never has one man been friendlier and more charismatic while decapitating one opponent after the next with unspeakable violence and devastation that only a nuclear holocaust can yield. Wanderlei Silva began his MMA career in 1996 and after a few small stints at some early UFC competitions and Vale Tudo backyard brawls in Brazil, ‘The Axe Murderer’ pretty much cleaned-out everyone from Pride FC’s roster from 1999 until the the promotion’s collapse in 2007. His devastating striking and unparalleled aggression is why Wanderlei Silva will always be my favorite fighter and I expect to lose my voice yelling profanity at my TV throughout the weekend to cheer him on.

After going 1-3 since coming into the UFC, ‘The Axe Murder’ has re-united with his long time Chute-Boxe trainer Rafael Cordeiro in preparation for UFC 110 and plans to reclaim his nickname this weekend at Michael Bisping’s expense. It’s just like old times. Wandi’s old coach, his old homicidal mindset and a fresh new pair of Jaco Shorts with secret pockets so he can hide his axe. Check out this highlight reel LayzieTheSavage on the UG to remind you of why we should all offer Wanderlei our support this weekend and start getting excited for UFC 110.
