We wanted to root for Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotion’s first MMA card but we just can’t. This whole event is a giant comet crashing to earth on Saturday night and we can’t look away.
Oscar De La Hoya has no idea what the hell he’s doing and its starting to show. Maybe the idea of Chuck Liddell versus Tito Ortiz in 2018 could work with the right machine behind it. Oscar attempts at promoting MMA has proven he’s not a machine but a complete tool.
Chuck versus Tito part three was always going to be a uphill climb, but Oscar is trying to scale to the mountain top with a cardboard box firmly planted on his head. Besides slow tickets sales, an underwhelming under card and general lack of knowledge of the sport, our Uncle Oscar made a complete jackass of himself at the final press event.
