Sean O’Malley hasn’t the heard the end of it when it comes to his last fight.
The UFC Bantamweight Champion just a few weeks ago, O’Malley would see his title reign come to an end at the Sphere where he took on Merab Dvalishvili in the main event of UFC 306. O’Malley didn’t look his usual self in the stand-up, having to defend the threat of the takedown, which Dvalishvili got six of with 10 minutes of control time.
All in all, it was Dvalishvili’s night with a unanimous decision win with O’Malley arguing otherwise, believing he had done enough to wins round 1, 3 and 5. Though, not everybody was impressed with “Suga’s” performance including his next foe, Sketch.
“Many Tattoos… Many Regrets.”
The famous Twitch streamer took O’Malley head-on in a game of Madden NFL and while O’Malley led in touchdowns for the entirety of the stream, Sketch had plenty of clever comebacks for the now former champion.
“Nice rainbow hair,” Sketch said to “Suga” on Twitch. “I bet you tap-dance in your free time. Look at you, many tattoos, many regrets.
“When are you gonna start trying?” O’Malley said to Sketch later in the game.
“That’s exactly what I was saying during your fight,” Sketch replied.
And So It Begins
O’Malley did have trouble finding his shots early on against Dvalishvili, landing his best strikes in the final round but unable to do much with them. Dvalishvili’s significant strikes were almost double O’Malley’s.
“What are you having for dessert? Turnovers?” O’Malley said in another exchange.
“Really? What are you having for dessert, f****** Merab’s d*ck?” Sketch added.
More Exchanges
“You should try that again, that play is hella working for ya,” O’Malley said.
“That’s what I said in rounds 2, 3, 4 and 5,” Sketch mentioned the Dvalishvili fight.
“I won 1, 3, and 5, so I don’t know what you’re talking about…” O’Malley responded
Undefeated No More
While O’Malley’s professional record may show two losses, that to Chito Vera (a defeat he avenged but still very much a loss) and Dvalishvili, the 29 year-old, whether he’s serious or not, plays it off as “undefeated” to this day.
“I could’ve been a cop,” Sketch said.
“You still can be,” O’Malley replied.
“Yeah, [I have] a clean record. What about you?” Sketch said of O’Malley falling to 18-2 as a pro.
