Charles Oliveira showed his support to Tony Ferguson.
The pair have been tight-knit ever since their December 2020 fight and that was further evidenced following UFC 274 this past weekend.
While Oliveira was able to come out on top against Justin Gaethje in the headliner, Ferguson didn’t have the same result.
“El Cucuy” had a promising first round against Michael Chandler where he dropped the former Bellator champion and had many moments of success, even on the ground.
However, just seconds into the second round, he ate a devastating front kick that put his lights out instantly.
It was the first time Ferguson was put out cold by a knockout in his MMA career, and it also made it four defeats in a row for the former interim lightweight champion.
Charles Oliveira: Head Up El Cucuy
On Monday, Oliveira offered some words of encouragement to his friend and even offered to train with him in Brazil.
“We’re among big dogs, up&downs are part of our jorneys. I admire you a lot @tonyfergusonxt. You’ve the history inside the Octagon. Head up “El Cucuy”! If you wish, let’s train together in ChuteBoxe’s hedquarter in São Paulo for your nxt fight. You’re a brother!”

Ferguson would respond soon after by crediting Oliveira for getting the job done against Gaethje despite the distraction of missing weight and getting stripped of his lightweight title.
He also did it in typical “El Cucuy” fashion.
“I’m glad you listened 💯 Way to stay focused Chuck 💪😎 -CSO- 🇺🇸🏆🇲🇽 # Don’t let your team let you miss weight again ok Buddy. We’ll see you soon kid, be good- Champ 🥇”

After Darren Till and Khamzat Chimaev, this might be an even better bromance if the duo did end up training together.
