Oh wow, Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson will be the coaches on the next TUF

Shane Carwin and Big Country on your television at one time. People, this is the exact reason why widescreen televisions were invented in the first place. If your viewing ratio isn’t 16:9, then good luck trying to fit both of these dudes in your living room. Shane Carwin’s fist is the size of your love seat. This is the same guy the UFC had to create special XXXXXL gloves for.

This morning, the UFC announced that Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson will be the coaches on the next season of The Ultimate Fighter on FX starting at some point in September. Filming begins in early August, probably on the second day of the month, the exact date of my birthday along with Nick Diaz. That’s right, we were born on the same day, and the earth nearly spun out of orbit.

Many of you may recall that Shane Carwin vs. Roy Nelson almost happened back in 2010 at UFC 125, but unfortunately Carwin pulled out of the fight due to an injury that required extensive surgery. It’s also important to note that out of all fifteen wins the current UFC heavyweight champion, Junior dos Santos, has in his MMA career, he’s only been unable to finish two fighters. You guessed it — Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson. Those guys have chins made out of unobtainium.
