Odds maker inexplicably immune to Conor McGregor hype, weirdly labels him underdog to Aldo

According to rogue odds-maker Bovada, Jose Aldo is a 9/5 favorite (-180) in a potential featherweight title fight with Conor McGregor. The estimate is bewildering, defying the seemingly irresistible hype that has surrounded the beloved Irishman. But despite the apparent absurdity, the betting company actually believes Conor McGregor could lose a fight on his way to achieving inevitable GOAT status in the UFC.

At this hour, the line has already shifted a bit in McGregor’s favor, settling at (-175). But Aldo is somehow still regarded as the better man, an apparent break with the immutable powers of the universe, which have until now solidly committed themselves to maintaining his air of invincibility.
