Having dropped two of his last bouts in a row, Ion Cutelaba went into the fight against Kennedy Nzechukwu looking to get back on the winning column at UFC Vegas 65.

Round 1
Nzechukwu opens with a jab attempt. Cutelaba with an inside leg kick. Cutelaba stuns him with a right hook and follows up with big shots. Cutelaba grapples with him off the fence and gets a nice uppercut through. Kennedy slowly turned to face Cutelaba. Cutelaba gets him to the mat with a trip and gets into mount. Cutelaba gets him up against the fence. Cutelaba with a side throw to get another takedown. Cutelaba is trying to lock his arm in for a crucifix but loses it. Now Nzechukwu has him off the cage trying to take him down. Cutelaba setting up a Kimura. Mean foot stops from Cutelaba.
Round 2
Nzechukwu comes out with a 1-2. Cutelaba with a strong inside kick. Wild hook miss by Cutelaba. Kennedy lands a nice shot. Kennedy counters with a huge knee when Cutelaba rushed in. Kennedy goes for another knee and another. Cutelaba is hurt here.
Official Result: Kennedy Nzechukwu defeats Ion Cutelaba via TKO (R2, 1:02).
