Now YOU can choose the UFC Undisputed cover athlete, grappler

The first thing that came to my mind when I heard that we could vote for the Undisputed 3 athlete was: ‘TWAS!’. Alas, as universe redefining it would be to have the Hairrow on store shelves everywhere, we can’t vote for anyone we want in this campaign to crown a new Undisputed cover fighter.

Fans can select between five UFC champs: Frankie Edgar, GSP, Anderson Silva, Jon Jones and Cain Velasquez. No Jose Aldo or Dominick Cruz for us, maybe they were too small for the cover? By casting your vote you will be entered into a sweepstakes to win prizes like tickets to a forthcoming UFC event and more. A friggin sweepstakes. How can you not do this? Head over to the Official Undisputed site and pencil in Brian Ebersole anyway.

Here’s a couple quotes from the official press release:

“Letting fans vote for the UFC Undisputed 3 cover athlete is a unique way for us to connect with our extensive worldwide audience of UFC fans, fighting game enthusiasts and more casual sports followers,” said Danny Bilson, Executive Vice President, Core Games, THQ. “We look forward to seeing if Jon Jones, Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre or Cain Velasquez has what it takes to grace the cover of what will be the most invigorating MMA videogame release to date.”

“We are excited to let fans choose the cover athlete for UFC Undisputed 3,” UFC President Dana White said. “Frankie, Georges, Anderson, Jon, and Cain are five of the most popular athletes in our sport and each wants to be on the cover. We love making our fans a part of the process and we’ll leave this one up to them.”
