Don’t look now MMA fans, but Ronda Rousey is blowing up—not that we didn’t already know that. From Dana White saying that “no one’s ever gotten this much attention” to her upcoming role in “Expendables 3,” it’s never been more clear that Rousey has much more than defending her title against Meisha Tate to worry about.
But even all that isn’t enough, because according to a report by MMA Junkie yesterday, the UFC’s only female champ will be joining the likes of Vin Diesel’s white v-necks, the Rock’s coconut oil and all the supped up cars as a co-star in the next “Fast & Furious” film.
Apparently people jumping from moving vehicle to moving vehicle isn’t exciting enough, so Universal Studios decided to ramp up the adrenalin levels by casting another MMA fighter.
In fact this makes two in a row for the “Fast” franchise as former Strikeforce champ Gina Carano was featured in the sixth installment. She even attempted a flying armbar on Michelle Rodriguez in a highly unrealistic fight scene.
While Carano failed to pull off her armbar attempt, I have a feeling that if Rousey is put in a similar situation then someone’s arm is going to break. I mean it’s muscle memory at this point.
