Ninja Rua will fight in the Dynamite!! NYE card, could be going to MFC

The last time anyone saw Ninja Rua in action we were huddled up in front of our computers looking at the Justin.tv stream of Bitetti Combat this September. Ninja Rua pulled off a spectacular high-kick KO, Pedro Rizzo scored a unanimous decision over Jeff Monson (which Fight! Magazine has ranked the #5 heavyweight in the world), Paulo Filho removed his cut-off flannel of might to score a W over Alex Schoenauer and we all saw Anderson Silva rock a pink shirt.

Ninja Rua (yeah, the brother Shogun Rua whose parents were obviously Shinobi and Ninja Gaiden II) is scheduled to fight in Dream’s New Years Eve event appropriately (or inappropriately) titled ‘Dynamite!!’. Ninja Rua was scheduled to fight at Dream 12 but somehow didn’t fight at Dream 12. It would have been the first time in which both brothers have fought on the same night. Paulo Filho’s mother may know what happened to Ninja but she’s too busy trying to find Paulo’s Brazilian passport. Here’s what Ninja Rua told Tatame Magazine:

“I have two more fights on the contract with Dream fight and maybe this year, but if I fight all right, I’m negotiating with a Canadian event and an American [promotion], Shine. I will have an answer soon, but I fight in December for sure, just do not know in which event…If I fight in Dream in December, I’ll fight in February, but still I have the Bitetti Combat in December, in Sao Paulo.”

Maybe this is what Mark Pavelich meant when he said he was going to his ‘Plain B’. Ninja Rua in MFC would be huge, my migraine going away would be even huger. [Source]
