Milosevic did not nibble around the edges in her UFC debut. The Serbian bantamweight started fast, attacked the body with a front kick, and then kept digging until Cowan’s guard and poker face both left the building. The official stoppage came at 3:41 of Round 1, with Cowan on the canvas and referee intervention arriving before things got uglier.
The sequence was nasty because it was not some lucky graze. Milosevic found the body early, made Cowan react, then chased the same target like she had a map taped to her gloves. Milosevic Gives Serbia A Clean UFC Moment
After the finish, Milosevic soaked up the reaction and kept her answer simple. “It feels great and you can see it on me,” Milosevic said while celebrating in front of the Serbian crowd. “We practiced this like a thousand, million times. [I want to fight again] as soon as possible.”
That is a pretty painless post-fight request when you just turned a UFC debut into a highlight reel. Milosevic entered the night as a heavily backed prospect, and this was the kind of debut that tells matchmakers there is more here than local-card energy. Women’s MMA has never been shy about violent momentum swings, going all the way back to Ronda Rousey’s old bantamweight title rise, and Milosevic just gave the new crowd a clean body-work reminder.
Cowan, meanwhile, ran into the worst kind of debut opponent. There is no shame in getting caught downstairs, but body-shot TKOs look brutal because the damage is written all over the reaction. Once Milosevic saw Cowan fold, she did exactly what a finisher is supposed to do and poured it on until the referee had seen enough.
The win also gave the Serbian crowd a homegrown payoff on a card already loaded with local flavor.
