The ongoing courtroom proceedings involving Nina Agdal and Dillon Danis reached a new stage after Agdal submitted an amended complaint in October. The dispute originated when Danis shared explicit images of Agdal on his social media accounts during the buildup to his boxing bout against Logan Paul.
The updated lawsuit contains several allegations including disclosure of intimate images, defamation, and invasion of privacy. Agdal claims Danis accused her of having HIV and implied she had sexual relations with social media influencers in exchange for drugs.
Her attorneys are seeking damages of $150,000 per violation for the disclosure of intimate images, along with punitive damages, legal fees, and a restraining order to prevent Danis from “continuing to disclose sexually explicit photographs” without her consent.
Danis Counters The Allegations
In a 16-page response, Danis’ lawyers denied many of Agdal’s claims and stated for some, “defendant lacks sufficient information to admit or deny the allegations.”
They also requested the court to “enter judgment against [Agdal] and in favor of [Danis] on all counts of the complaint.”
Despite their opposing arguments, both parties included a joint request: “a trial by jury for all issues so triable.”
Court Orders And Discovery Requirements
Judge Michael Hammer instructed Danis to submit supplemental interrogatories by December 1 after previously missing a deadline. Required information includes:
- Identifying individuals he communicated with about Agdal via Twitter messages.
- Providing details about videos posted from his Twitter account.
- Naming the person he contacted on Twitter during the “exact timeframe” a Snapchat video of Agdal was shared.
Agdal’s legal team argues these disclosures are essential for establishing who may have participated in the distribution of her private content.
The next phase of the lawsuit will be a telephone conference scheduled for December 18, during which the court will discuss updates and outstanding discovery requirements with both sides.
