Nick Diaz thinks Anderson Silva fighting Stephan Bonnar is comedy

I love bad jokes. You know the ones I’m talking about, jokes that are just plain stupid or so poltically incorrect that you can’t help but laugh. My friends and I will sometimes spend hours texting each other crappy jokes like: “Why can’t Helen Keller have kids? Because she’s dead,” or “What’s better than winning a silver medal at the special olympics? Not being retarded!” This normally leads to us to embarassing fits of obnoxious knee slapping, cry inducing, snort laughs. Our juvenile sides defintely adore a nice dose of offensive lowbrow comedy.

Nick Diaz probably wouldn’t even crack a small smirk at our dumb jokes though. That’s not his kind of comedy. Diaz finds other things hysterical-things like Anderson Silva fighting Stephan Bonnar instead of Nick Diaz, for example. On Thursday’s edition of MMA Uncensored Live-he talked about just how ‘LOL’ worthy he thinks the Silva-Bonnar fight is:

“If I was making a joke, like, ‘Who are they gonna get to fight Anderson Silva, right now? Me or Stephan Bonnar?’ it would have been a big, laughing matter. It’s a joke. But, you know, that’s what’s happening at this point in time. So, that’s fine. But, if I was Anderson Silva, and I’m on my way out of this sport, at 37 or whatever, I’m looking to do a couple more fights, if that. I’d want to fulfill my legacy. I’m not gonna be able to do that with Stephan Bonnar. That’s just the way I see it.”

I’m positive that if Ceasar Gracie held a stand up comedy night competition at the gym and Nick Diaz stood up in front of his crew and said, “So I went to a UFC fight and the G.O.A.T. champion Anderson Silva entered the Octagon to fight Stephan Bonnar…” the whole room would erupt in ROTFLMAO style laughter and he’d be winner of the 209 comedy night. He does have kind of an unfair advantage though, being that everyone would be too frightened of getting their teeth knocked out to even hesitate laughing at his joke. [Source]
