Bodycam Video Shows Nick Diaz Didn’t Resist Arrest!

Police Bodycam Footage Shows Nick Diaz Was Cooperative During His Arrest In May 2018!

Nick Diaz is no stranger to legal issues. On May 24, 2018, he was arrested on alleged domestic violence charges in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to the report, Nick Diaz was combative towards police officers. But the video shows a man who cooperates with police and follows the orders.

Nick put hands behind his back with feet as wide as possible. Cops then handcuffed Diaz and took him to the police car.

Once cops put him in the patrol car, Nick Diaz was repeating that he was innocent, and tried to persuade police officers to put him into a more comfortable position. But officers threatened to “put a spit mask on Diaz and embarrass him”!

Then the supervising officer Bryce Martinez appeared on the video and reminded both officers that the suspect must be controlled by any means necessary, even physical violence if required.

“Listen to me real quick,” Martinez said (h/t MMAjunkie). “I need you to control your suspects. If they’re talking (expletive), if you need to fricken’ take them to jail. If you need to hobble them, if you need to whoop their (expletive) ass, you whoop their ass. You hear me? I need you to hold and take them,” he added “Make those decisions for me. I cannot be making them for you, Okay? Good talk.”

Nick Diaz was charged with domestic battery assault, but he was released on bail after he paid $18,000 dollars. Prosecutors later slapped him with two extra felony charges.

But the Clark County (Nevada) District Attorney didn’t want to push the case against Diaz further. All charges against one of the greatest UFC trash-talkers were dismissed in August 2018! Nick’s lawyer Ross Goodman was satisfied with the final outcome.

“We are grateful that the District Attorney’s office was fair and thoughtful in reviewing this case based on the evidence and making the decision to dismiss this matter particularly in light of the Grand Jury’s decision finding probable cause was lacking,” attorney Ross Goodman said.

After walking out of the courtroom as a free man, Nick Diaz continued pursuing his UFC return. Nick was set to meet Jorge Masvidal at UFC 235 on March 2, 2019, but Diaz claimed “he has never agreed to that fight”.

What are your thoughts on Nick’s legal issues? Nick Diaz was insisting that he was framed. Do you believe his story?
