We are live here in London, England, watching the spectacular Middleweight division crash between Neil Magny (20-6), and Craig White (14-7). This boxing/BJJ mixed martial artist likes to be in control.
But you mustn’t underestimate the young “Thundercat” hungry for blood, fighting in front of his home fans. He is a Taekwondo black belt, and his 14 victories came 5 by knockout and 9 by submission. Who knows, maybe a kick could blow Magny away! Number 9 fights against a fighter who has UFC debut and co-main event of the evening, anything could happen!
What A Surprise!
As soon as the fight opens, Craig White attacks with low kicks and assumes excellent clinch control. White makes big problems to his opponent since he has a reach advantage, and Magny is surprised.
White surprises Magny with a clinch, pushing him against the fence at 4:30. White controls the clinch well, and the crowd starts to boo as soon as the fighters do nothing for more than 30 seconds. Magny cannot slip away off the clinch, but somehow he is able to rotate and force his opponent against the fence. Magny tries an unsuccessful takedown attempt.
A low blow from Magny at 2:54 until the end of the first round! Craig White recovers and delivers left hook, at the same time wrapping his hands around the rivals’ waist, pushing him against the fence again and delivering a strong left knee.
Magny uses a chance and takes White down, ending up in half-guard position. However, White defends his attacks and as soon as Magny stands up, White delivers few excellent up kicks and prevents himself from attacks. Neil Magny tries to kick him, but Leon Roberts puts them back to standing.
Knockout Blow
White runs into the clinch again, but Magny delivers a tremendous knee to the face – White forgets to put his hand! White falls against the fence and he is rocked, the No.9 attacks with brutal ground and pound. After a barrage of punches, the referee stops the fight at 4:32 and Neil Magny wins via the first-round TKO!
