Nate Diaz in Town to Support Chris Avila Against His Former UFC Rival, Benson Henderson

Diaz will be attending the Misfits & DAZN X Series 18 card on Saturday, September 14, emanating from the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle. In the main event of the evening, Misfits Boxing middleweight champion Elle Brooke will put her belt on the line against BKFC brawler Jenny Savage.

Diaz’s teammate, Chris Avila, will feature on the card as he meets former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson.

After competing under the UFC and Bellator banners for eight years, Henderson made his Karate Combat debut last year for a long-awaited trilogy fight with Anthony Pettis. ‘Showtime’ came out on top, scoring a unanimous decision to take the series 2-1.

Henderson will face Chris Avila in his boxing debut—a former mixed martial artist who has found success in the squared circle over the last couple of years. Avila has won six straight fights and has competed at multiple Misfits events. He is often featured on the undercard of Jake Paul’s fights.
