Nate Diaz keeping His Doors Open As He Submitted First USADA Sample Of The Year 2019

Nate Diaz hasn’t stepped foot inside the Octagon since suffering a majority decision loss to Conor Mcgregor back in 2016. Despite that lightweight contender still submitting his samples to USADA United States Anti-Doping Agency keeping himself eligible to return to the competition.

In fact according to TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, Stockton native submitted first USADA sample of 2019.

“In the latest round of USADA testing, Nate Diaz submitted his first sample of 2019.”

This test suggests that Nate Diaz could very well be in talks with the promotion about his UFC return. However after leveling a score with Conor Mcgregor- Nate Diaz hasn’t fought nearly in three years even UFC offered him a fight on multiple occasions. But this long wait could tell us that younger Diaz brother may get a trilogy with his old nemesis Mcgregor.

Diaz was briefly linked to return to Octagon against Dustin Poirier at UFC 230 this past November however the plans nixed after ‘The Diamond’ pulled out due to an injury.

The recent booking of Tony Ferguson and Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone leave all the doors open for Mcgregor vs. Diaz trilogy, as current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is expected to defend his title against Dustin Poirier this September.

However that being said, Nate Diaz recently expressed his interest in taking his services to the boxing.

Time will tell if he surely wants to get back to the Octagon.
