UFC 223 is set to take place on April 7, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The main event bout suffered a change when Tony Ferguson was forced to withdraw due to torn ACL.
This is the fourth time in UFC that a scheduled Tony Ferguson vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov contest has failed to come to materialization.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the news via social media that Featherweight champion Max Holloway agreed to step in on short-notice and fight Khabib Nurmagomedov, contesting for the undisputed lightweight belt:
