Nate Diaz Is Moving On From The UFC And Teases Boxing Transition

Former UFC lightweight title challenger and TUF 5 winner Nate Diaz is moving on from the UFC and teases a transition to boxing.

On Friday, “Stockton Slugger” posted on social media in which he claims that the UFC offered him a title shot in “any weight class,” but rather than accept that proposal he is moving on “to the next sport for now.”

Nate Diaz was recently linked to a potential welterweight title super-fight with Tyron Woodley at UFC 219.

Unfortunately, the proposed Woodley vs. Diaz scrap did not come on the table as hoped.

Diaz had not fought since when he faced McGregor at UFC 202. The Irish man defeated him by majority decision, avenging the submission loss that Diaz handed him at UFC 196. Both showdowns ranked among the highest-grossing events in UFC history.

It seems like that the Nate Diaz will now follow in the footsteps of McGregor by taking his talents to the squared circle.

Notorious made a fortune by entering the boxing ring and taking on boxing legend Floyd Mayweather earlier this summer in Las Vegas.
