Nate Diaz, a UFC legend known for wild fights, ran into a funny scene on March 15, 2025, while hanging out in San Diego. He saw two buddies messing around in a friendly street brawl and pulled out his phone to film it. One guy tried a slick Showtime Kick like Anthony Pettis landed years ago, but he goofed it up big time. Nate posted the silly video online for fans to enjoy. At 39, he’s also mulling over a UFC return after stepping away in 2022, though he’s in no rush since he wants to fight forever.
The kick that changed my life.
11 years and we still have not seen anything like it 🙏 #ShowtimeKick pic.twitter.com/18SEGHQgZy

A Playful Tussle
Nate watched the two pals start with easy swings, just joking around. Then one got cocky and jumped off a wall, aiming a flashy flying kick at his friend, copying that Pettis move from 2010. It went south fast. His buddy ducked and tripped him, making him flop onto the ground. It was all in good fun, not a real fight.
The guy who fell popped up quick. He grabbed his friend, tossed him down, and tried another wild kick that didn’t land either. They rolled around on the wet road, laughing and slipping until they had enough. In the end, they got up, shook hands, and walked off together, still buddies, unaware Nate caught it all on camera.
Nate’s Quiet Watch
Nate didn’t join in or say anything. He just filmed the friendly chaos and threw it up on his Instagram story. Fans loved the laid-back vibe and chuckled at the kick flub. It’s classic Nate, always spotting real action, even when it’s just pals horsing around.
Nate ended his 15-year UFC run after making Tony Ferguson tap out at UFC 279 in September 2022. Since then, he’s boxed Jake Paul in 2023 and lost, then beat Jorge Masvidal in 2024. Those fights kept him swinging outside UFC.
In 2025, Nate’s wondering if UFC’s worth coming back to. He feels it’s missing big stars to make it exciting. He’s not hurrying though. Nate wants to keep fighting forever, so he’s holding out for the perfect chance to step back in.
