Younger Diaz Brother Took To Social Media On The Night Of Alvarez vs. Jacobs Boxing Match To Lament His MMA Career

Last night (Sat, May 4, 2019) ‘Canelo’ Saul Alvarez walks away with another title after scoring a decision win over IBF middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs from inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, the fight was one of the most boring we’ve seen ever, but both athletes paid well for their efforts.

From the past few years, fighter pay has become a frequently discussed issue in the UFC. Fighters are coming forward to voice disdain and concern like Al Iaquinta who spoked on numerous occasion about walking away from sports due to lack of salary but recently made peace with the company.

Nate Diaz expressed his frustration before Canelo vs. Jacbos lucrative bout and insisted he should be boxing, but instead he’s stuck in a cage.

”I should be boxing these guys,” he wrote. “I’m stuck in a cage though.”

Nate last fought back in 2016 when he suffered a majority decision loss to Conor McGregor in a rematch at UFC 202. Before this setback, ‘Stockton Slugger’ defeated Mcgregor via submission. He made enough money in these fights that put him in a position to never fight again. A trilogy is a real possibility and only lucrative fight that can bring younger Diaz back to the Octagon.

Diaz was linked to meet Dustin Poirier at UFC 230 last November however that fight fell sideways due to multiple reasons.

It’s still unknown whether we get to see Nate Diaz back to the Octagon again or not.
