My GOD this Chael Sonnen…

I could work on this article for the next 500 years and I will not be able to find any combination of words that will do justice to the sheer performance Chael Sonnen just placed at UFC 136. Sure he imposed his will on Brian Stann just like he said he was going to do. If you followed Chael Sonnen since the WEC, you knew exactly what he was going to do. That was just Chael Sonnen being Chael Sonnen. Put aside the antics for the past year, the dude would be like an 11-mana casting cost creature in Magic The Gathering. However, you all know what I’m getting it. Chael Sonnen laid down perhaps the greatest post-fight speech in UFC history.

After submitting Brian Stann after shoving every available appendage in his face for the duration of the fight, Chael Sonnen got on the microphone and essentially challenged Anderson Silva to a fight on Superbowl weekend with the most grandiose ultimatium I’ve ever witnessed inside the octagon. Chael said that if he beats Silva in a rematch, he wants The Spider to leave the division. However, if by some chance Ando defeats Chael Sonnen — he will leave the UFC.

That’s right, folks. Now someone put together a reasonable argument as to why Chael Sonnen isn’t the most interesting man in MMA. Go ahead, I’ll read them all in the comment section.
