Muhammad Mokaev added another spectacular victory to his growing legacy, knocking out Gerard Burns with a crushing head kick to capture the flyweight championship at Brave CF 100 in Isa Town, Bahrain.
The 25-year-old British fighter, who previously competed in the UFC, once again displayed his well-rounded skill set, improving to 15-0 (1 NC) in his professional career and 6-0 since rejoining Brave Combat Federation.
Fast Start, Faster Finish
From the moment the fight began, Mokaev took command. He blended quick kicks with sharp movement, forcing Burns to stay on the defensive. The first round ended with Mokaev scoring a clean takedown and controlling the pace from top position, showing why many still view him as one of the sport’s top grapplers.
Then came the finish. Just seconds into the second round, Mokaev landed a precise high kick that connected flush on Burns’ temple. A follow-up strike sealed the result as the referee stepped in, ending the contest in under two minutes.
The crowd roared as Mokaev celebrated another statement win — one that once again confirmed his position among the best flyweights competing outside the UFC.

After the fight, Mokaev made it clear he believes he’s the top fighter in his division anywhere in the world. “I am the best flyweight in the world, number one,” Mokaev said inside the cage.
He also mentioned his interest in a possible champion versus champion bout against Borislav Nikolic, who later that night defeated Hamza Kooheji in the bantamweight title main event. Mokaev entered the cage afterward to confront Nikolic face-to-face, teasing a massive title clash in the near future.
Since parting ways with the UFC in 2024, Mokaev has dedicated himself to proving that elite-level talent doesn’t need a UFC banner to shine. His performances in Brave CF have strengthened that case, combining sharp wrestling, improved striking, and flawless composure.
The head kick knockout was another reminder of how far he’s come since his early career days — from Cage Warriors standout to UFC prospect, and now a Brave CF champion with international recognition.
