Motivated Stipe Miocic Wants Rematch Before Daniel Cormier Retires

Stipe Miocic Ask Daniel Cormier For Rematch

Former UFC heavyweight champion is going nowhere, and he’s more motivated than ever, after losing a title against Daniel Cormier at UFC 226 this past Saturday(July 7, 2018) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Despite the loss, the Miocic remains arguably the most decorated heavyweight in UFC history.

The Cleveland-born firefighter won the title after an impressive knockout of then-champion Fabricio Werdum back in 2016, then Miocic went on to defend the title against Alistair Overeem, Junior dos Santos, and Francis Ngannou to set the UFC heavyweight record for most consecutive title defenses.

Miocic didn’t get a chance to give a post-fight speech in Octagon, as Brock Lesnar create chaos, calls Miocic “piece of s***” despite not having a true win since 2010. Now Lesnar will get a chance to fight against Cormier and already enter in USADA testing pool for UFc return.

48 hours have dusted since his loss, Miocic took to social media, gives Cormier his dues and asks for a rematch.

Congrats to DC. Didn’t get the chance to say it in the cage, but lets dance again and get a rematch before you call it a career.

Thx to my coaches and team.

Being the greatest heavyweight in UFC history is a career-long journey and doesnt end here. I’m more motivated than ever!

Cormier didn’t waste much time, quickly write back to the former champion.

My brother it was an honor to share the cage with you. I know you’ll be back better than ever champ. Head up and good luck with baby. #father #husband #hero #champ #cle

Cormier teased a potential return at light heavyweight against Shogun Rua, and in his final two fights, he didn’t agree to run against Miocic. After that Cormier wants to end his career with a bang against Brock Lesnar fight possibly on Superbowl weekend.
