  • Brandon Moreno has no hesitation to fight champion Figueiredo in his native Brazil.
  • Moreno knows that the four-fight between himself and Figueiredo will be the biggest in division history.

These days Brandon Moreno is sporting a big black eye and a shiny new UFC interim title around his waist. He receive both last Saturday night at UFC 277 when he defeated Kai Kara-France and punched his ticket to a fourth bout with champion Deiveson Figueiredo. Both men met inside the Octagon at UFC 277 but no harsh words or punches were thrown that night, instead, both are already preparing to meet each other again and find out who is the best fighter at 125 pounds after all.

Moreno is willing to fight Figueiredo anywhere, even in Brazil

So far Figueiredo leads the series 2-1 but that is not deterring Moreno. He is confident in his skills, so much so that he has no issue with crossing into enemy territory and facing Figueiredo in his home country of Brazil. He spoke to TMZ Sports about the location and date of the fourth fight in a very open and flexible way.

“I want to fight, I want to keep my legacy going up and I’ll be ready,” he said.  “I’ll be ready to fight against him in December. You know, the problem is he wants to go and fight in Brazil. I don’t care. I can go and fight in Antarctica if he wants.”

Moreno has his legacy at the forefront of his mind. Reclaiming the unified belt would be the step forward he is searching for. From fighting on The Ultimate Fighter to campaigning for the UFC to keep the flyweight division upon the departure of Demetrious Johnson, to now being one of the most popular fighters on the roster, Moreno has had quite a climb in the UFC. He believes that the fourth title fight between himself and Figueiredo, which has never been done before, would be on of the biggest fights ever.

“The fourth fight between Figueiredo and I is the biggest one easily so far,” he said. “Tell me the second place and even that fight is still a long, long way apart from us. So I’m excited to make more history, to make legacy. I was a little bit frustrated when Deveison say no the first time to the fourth one immediately because I was hungry. Hungry of like, legacy, of glory and to put more things in the books.”

The fourth and possibly final fight between these two could be happening at the end of the year or early next year, in the meantime, Moreno will enjoy his win and Figueiredo will continue to heal up.
