[div class=”notice” class2=”icon”]The following is from an article on MMA-Japan, part of the MiddleEasy Network.[/div]
First things – thank you very much for taking the time to talk to mma-japan. I speak for all of our viewers when I say that we respect you very much and enjoy watching every fight of yours.
Well, thank you to both you and the readers for that comment and support.
I always appreciate the fans, which I realize are just as important as the fighters and events themselves.
Each time you step into the ring/cage, you are constantly showing signs of evolving as a fighter. I was speaking to Mr. Frew about evolving as a person leads to evolution as a fighter. Do you see the two as being tied together, and can you relate to this?
I’m beginning to understand a lot more about the sport itself, and am progressing and evolving as a fighter,..Seeing as I am a fighter, and that’s what I do and have dedicated my professioinal life to, I suppose there is a connection then in the personal evolution also as well..Perhaps you are right.
Your striking game has continually evolved and looks sharper and sharper in every fight. Do you feel you have become more rounded, as it appears?
Yes, I have definately become more well rounded in recent years.
Sean ( Mr. Frew ) has been working with me to develop that (striking game), and keeps saying, “If you do 30-50% of what we train for and apply that in the ring, there’s no stopping you!”
I’m working on applying that more these days and need to be more agressive and learn to finish…I still have a way to go to fully achieve that, but I’m getting there.
