Mike Dragich, an MMA fighter, wrestled an alligator outside a Florida school.
In addition to his fighting skills, Mike Dragich possesses a unique set of abilities as a licensed ‘Gator Trapper.’
Outside of an elementary school in Jacksonville, Florida, an alligator was in the parking lot and several people were screaming in terror. Dragich who is an amateur MMA fighter and licensed gator trapper was called to help the Florida fire and rescue officials get the alligator away from the school.
Dragich posted the video to his Instagram of him wrestling his alligator as he walked up to the alligator in a cut-sleeve shirt and tight pants.
In the video, Dragich tried to grab the alligator by its tail multiple times but it wasn’t working. Finally, he was able to hook the alligator with a pole but it was a fight from there which caused onlookers to scream. The alligator was trying to roll away as Mike Dragich had it in its arms and wrestling it and was able to eventually corral it.
‘You gotta be Focused’
“I felt like Batman, for real,” Dragich said to Fox 35 Orlando. “A lot of fighters will understand that uh, when you go to the cage, you’re nervous but once that cage door closes, you gotta be focused and honestly that’s what I remembered from that night.”
It also isn’t a huge surprise to see Mike Dragich do this as he has several videos of him taking down alligators which are common animals in Florida.
After sharing the video, it went viral and the amateur MMA fight makes it clear that people should not try this at home as he is a trained professional
“I always tell people, be very careful and don’t do what I’m doing on social media. But, I can promise you, that the animals are respected and they are dealt with in a professional manner each and every time, regardless of what it may look like on social media,” Dragich said.
Ultimately, MMA fighter Mike Dragich remains undefeated against alligators.
