- “Iron Mike” isn’t sure about possibly facing a UFC legend in the future
Mike Tyson is undoubtedly one of the greatest boxers of all time but he’s not writing off the punching power of Francis Ngannou. At least, that’s what his latest reaction about the looming Tyson Fury vs. Ngannou boxing match suggests.
“Anything is possible”
While heading back to his car, Tyson ran into a couple of reporters and was asked a few questions about Fury vs. Ngannou.
Fury has been undefeated as a pro and has won 24 of his 33 wins via KO/TKO. On the other hand, Ngannou has also proven that he possesses devastating knockout power in his hands, having won 12 of his 17 wins via KO/TKO. However, it’s clear that “The Gypsy King” still has massive advantage in boxing.
Nevertheless, “Iron Mike” is not sleeping on the former UFC heavyweight champion’s capability to knock the living lights out of anybody in front of him.
“Anything is possible,” Tyson told TMZ Sports when asked if he thinks Ngannou can possibly beat Fury.

Tyson’s name got linked to the Fury-Ngannou fight after “The Gypsy King” said it would be perfect if “The Baddest Man on the Planet” will be the referee in “The Baddest Man on the Planet” title fight: Fury vs. Ngannou.
However, Tyson seems to be unsure whether he’d be down for it or not.
“You never know,” Tyson said when asked about refereeing Fury vs. Ngannou.
One more time?
Tyson made an epic ring return in 2020 by facing fellow boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition match. Jones Jr. is now set to face former UFC champion Anthony Pettis in April.
When asked if he would be open to facing a UFC legend himself, Tyson just kind of flirted with the idea.
“You never know.”
As of now, the only thing concrete about Fury vs. Ngannou is the interest of both heavy-hitting heavyweights to face each other. Fury has demanded a special set of rules for the potential boxing with “The Predator” to which Ngannou quickly agreed.
Ngannou is still a free agent following his abrupt UFC exit earlier this year. Fury, meanwhile, has successfully defended his WBC title in his last four fights.
