Of all the days to have a fight announced…
Lost in the wild shuffle of Conor McGregor throwing a hand truck through a bus window and getting three fights from UFC 223 cancelled, was Dana White finally announced an opponent for CM Punk. And it’s none other than “The Truth” Mike Jackson.
Of course, Mike Jackson lost his UFC debut against eventual CM Punk opponent Mickey Gall. But after watching Gall manhandle Punk, fight fans have always wondered whether Jackson would have been the better matchup for CM Punk the whole time. Now, we need wonder no longer.
Time to cash in the #MoneyInTheBank!

Since Jackson last fought in the UFC, “The Truth” has been photographing LFA, training Muay Thai, and knocking fools out in the boxing ring. Basically doing it for the culture.
Never before in the history of the sport has the dividing line been drawn so clear. If you have any love for regional MMA, or any kind of hardcore MMA culture, you need to be cheering for Mike Jackson to blast CM Punk into unconsciousness at UFC 225 in Chicago.
