You guys remember Mike Swick don’t you? He is the guy you’ve seen playing poker, driving a kitchen on wheels maniacally through the streets of Thailand and hanging out and eating disgusting insects with Roger Huerta over the last year and a half. You might also vaguely remember he is a UFC fighter. If you don’t remember that then it looks like Swick is going to come back to the octagon to remind you.
That’s right Mike Swick is making his return to the UFC octagon after a long year and a half layoff due first to a ‘stomach disease’ and next due to a knee injury. The last time we saw Swick fight in the UFC Octagon was in December of 2010 at UFC 109-where he lost via a technical submission to Paulo Thiago. From what we are hearing it looks like he is slated to make his return late this summer against none other than MiddleEasy’s main monster D-Zilla, Damarques Johnson.
Sources close to the fighters’ camps have whispered (within earshot of some of us here on MiddleEasy) that this bout was just about ready to be signed and added to the already stacked full of fun LA Staples Center August 4th card. Here’s the rest of the unofficial lineup:
