So, you want to be a fighter? Well, you might not want to after seeing Mark Martin’s eye from last night.
Martin would fight Titan FC Champ Dilano Taylor at PFL’s second edition of their ‘Challenger Series‘. The two would look to impress and potentially secure a contract from the top promotion. However, things went south for Martin quickly.
Taylor’s punches would find their target as the fighter landed over and over again on Martin. It would take one round for the damage to accumulate on the face of Martin. Much swelling on the left eye of Martin. And we’re talking about A LOT of swelling here.
It was so bad the cageside doctor would inspect it in between rounds 1 and 2. The eye popped out of the socket, becoming a serious bulge. It looked to be one of the worst injuries we’ve seen in a while.

The fight would be ruled a doctor stoppage for Dilano Taylor, with Martin suffering the horrific injury. He would be rushed to the hospital following the result.
