The fight took place on March 3, 2012, in Columbus, Ohio. It was the main event of the evening! It was very dynamic from its beginning. Miesha took her down but also escaped Ronda’s submission attempt in the first minute of the fight.

Miesha had the offensive and controlled the fight, but successful armbar at 4:27 of the first round almost cost “Cupcake” a broken arm. Ronda performed a painful armbar, but she denied to tap out. When referee stopped the fight, she was unable to move her left arm.

In the rematch against Ronda Rousey on UFC 168, Miesha had complete control during the first two rounds. However, Ronda did one more great armbar in the third round. Miesha didn’t want to risk broken arm again and tapped out.

The match is known for the Comeback of The Year 2016. Holly Holm was demolishing her with kicks and punches, especially right side kick to the body. When everybody taught the fight will be ended via knockout, Miesha took her down and won via spectacular submission.

Miesha Tate vs Amanda Nunes – UFC 200 Title Loss

The match against Amanda Nunes is an example of Miesha’s stand-up weaknesses. After an unsuccessful left hook in the first minute, Amanda threw a strong overhand right and rocked Miesha Tate.
