Miesha Tate Posts Photo Ahead Of Flyweight Debut At UFC 276: ‘I’m Shrinking’

The former women's bantamweight champion is set to make her 125-pound debut against Lauren Murphy at UFC 276.

Miesha Tate is gearing up for her flyweight debut.

The former women’s bantamweight champion is set to make her bow at 125-pounds when she takes on contender Lauren Murphy at UFC 276 on July 2.

The move came following her defeat to Ketlen Vieira in November coupled along with the fact that her teammate Julianna Pena became the bantamweight champion soon after.

It will be a big test for Tate as it will be the first time she competes at 125 pounds. However, she looks to be making good progress as she undergoes a body transformation ahead of UFC 276.

Taking to social media, “Cupcake” recently shared a selfie where she looked noticeably smaller in stature.

Miesha Tate Asks Fans To Pick UFC 276 Walkout Song

Tate plans on making her flyweight debut even more memorable.

She’s even calling for fans to choose her walkout song for UFC 274 in a competition where the winner will receive a number of prizes.

“Hey guys. I’m in a bit of a dilemma,” she said in an Instagram video post. “I want a new walkout song for UFC 276, so I decided that there is maybe no better way than to reach out to my fanbase who could possibly come up with the most creative walkout song yet.

“I want you guys to think outside of the box. I love all different kinds of music, and I’m really excited for all you guys to participate in this.”

The winner will receive the following:

  •  $200 gift certificate to mieshatate.net
  • A personalized Miesha Tate signed photo
  • A shout out video that can be used by the winner or gifted to another person
  • A shout out to the winner in all social media platforms
