Still can’t believe Michael Page versus Paul Daley isn’t happening somewhere on UK soil. This is MVP vs. Semtex we are talking about, this is the most English fight in MMA history.
Once you accept that fact that Michael Page versus Paul Daley is happening at a casino in Connecticut on Saturday night, it all starts to fall into place. MVP versus Daley is the best of fight of the weekend.
Sorry, Francis versus Cain you are still a heavyweight fight and we have no idea what version of Velasquez we will see on Sunday night.
The biggest edge Venom versus Semtex has going for it, is that it’s an MMA fight with an actual storyline. In the year of our fight lord 2019, it’s a damn rarity for a fight to be not just two random dudes in the same weight class punching at each other.
Create-a-fighter A versus Create-a-fighter B in a battle for rankings or something like that. You see the thing is fighter A (or B) is only three to seven fights away from a number one contender’s bout. So you see this fight is very important for reasons and because it’s MMA.
MMA for the sake of MMA can only you take you so far at this point in the sport’s timeline. Your mileage may vary, but get us invested into a pair fighters add some stakes in and *chef’s kiss* that’s some good mixing of your martial arts.
It’s a fight for UK MMA bragging rights. It’s the old guard versus the new guard. These two dudes once brawled through the crowd and if we had to bet any money, they actually do hate one another.
Awesome fight, the best of the weekend and here’s the first face off of fight week.
