Michael Bisping Congratulated “Soldier Of Steroids” For Banking $27 Million!

UFC 185-pound contender Yoel Romero failed USADA test back in 2016 when his samples were positive to prohibited substance ibutamoren. Despite Yoel and his manager explained that he took the supplement that turned out to be contaminated, “Soldier of God” was slapped with a 6-month suspension.

Yoel Romero sued the supplement manufacturer, Gold Star Performance Products. A few days ago, Romero won the lawsuit in a big way. The company must pay him an impressive 27.45 million dollars!

Even Romero’s most ardent detractor, the former UFC Middleweight champion Michael Bisping, had no choice but to congratulate him. (h/t MMAMania.com)

“I’m like, there’s no way fucking the ‘Soldier of Steroids’ has got $27.5 million,” Bisping said on his official podcast (via MMA News). “Anyway, it’s true. Yoel Romero sued whatever the company’s called and got $27.4 million. And ya know, red panty night for Yoel Romero. There must be a god. That’s all I’ve got to say on this. He got $27 million, which is incredible. And I’ll say this, me and Yoel we had a little thing over the years. Congratulations. If you’re listening to this, well done. That’s awesome.”

Yoel Romero and Michael Bisping have a beef history. During Bisping’s 185-pound title reign, Romero was passed over for a title bout in the favor of Georges St-Pierre and Dan Henderson.

“The Count” trolled “The Soldier of God” for failed drug test frequently. Moreover, Michael Bisping ripped the flag of Cuba when Yoel lost the Interim Middleweight title match to Robert Whittaker at UFC 213.

What are your thoughts on Yoel Romero’s outstanding lawsuit win?

  1. With all the contaminated supplements and so many athletes being dinged for using steroids, why hasn’t those
athletes sued before. It takes a fighter like Yoel to step up and put those companies in their place and force
them to take responsibility. So, many fighters act tough but the only fighters who seem to have the guts to stand up are the Yoel and JBJ types. Everyone want to talk about them taking steroids but none of the others
will stand up for themselves… Yoel is the smartest one of them all…
