Michael Bisping Shows Zero Empathy Towards Jon Jones Failed Drug Tests: ”I Still Think The Whole Thing Is Bullsh*t”
Michael Bisping was in the role of UFC Fox analyst on Saturday night where he barraged Jon Jones with unpleasant questions about his suspicious drug tests following his win over Alexander Gustafsson at the main event of UFC 232.
The retired British Middleweight asked Jones what would happen if his drug test results after the match turn out positive. (h/t MMAMania.com)
“So, I said, ‘Jon, has there been any discussion as to what happens if you test positive after the fight?’ Because I’ll tell you what, if I’m Alexander Gustafsson and you stopped me in the third round, but the motherf*cker tests positive…and I don’t care how many small pinches of salt it is in an Olympic sized swimming pool…I want that overturned to a f*cking no contest because you’ve tested positive after the fact.”
Jon Jones didn’t answer, so “The Count” reworded his question. Yet, the champ ignored him again and talked about a totally different topic. It looks like the Michael Bisping made “Bones” angry.
“He said, ‘Well, you know, I’m just looking forward to this fight, this fight’s going to be great and blah blah blah—he just totally ignored the question. So then I went back at him again, I slightly reworded [the question] and once again he ignored it. You could see he wasn’t happy, Michael BISPING SAID.”
And it looks like Michael Bisping shows zero empathy towards Jon Jones positive drug tests.
“I have no sympathy for the drug-testing bullshit,” Bisping said on his official podcast (via Bloody Elbow). “You tested positive three times. The reason they’re in your system, is your f—king fault. It’s very black and white. Just like when you take a sobriety test. You get pulled over, they suspect you’re drunk driving. You get alcohol in your system, you’re fucked. Same thing with steroids. I still think the whole thing is bullshit, to be honest.”
Jon Jones was suspended after his samples were positive on Turinabol, an anabolic steroid, following his head kick KO win over Daniel Cormier at UFC 214. The result was overturned to no contest and the rule breaker is punished.
Or we can say rewarded?! Jones was given a 15-month ban by USADA! Oh, common, Tom Lawlor and Frank Mir were suspended for two years for the abuse of the same substance, and Jones is a repeated offender!
Trace amounts of Turinabol reappeared in Jones’ tests during 2018 few times. But Dana White believes Jon Jones is clean, just as Jeff Novitzky, and CSAC executive director Andy Foster. The UFC boss even relocated the whole UFC 232 event from Nevada to California to keep Jon Jones Vs Alexander Gustafsson intact!
Do you think Michael Bisping is absolutely right for not supporting Jon Jones?
