Michael Bisping says he will be massively pissed off if Hector Lombard gets to fight for a UFC title

Michael Bisping’s fighting style is really misunderstood by MMA judges.  No matter how many times he feels he wins a fight, the judges seem to feel differently.  They’re obviously trolling him.  According to Bisping, you should all ignore his 22-4 record, because he’s really 25-1.  Only Dan Henderson has defeated him and there’s nothing you can say to change his mind. In an alternate universe, Michael Bisping decided to circle right at UFC 100, away from Hendo’s H-bomb and he’d still be undefeated, probably even the undisputed UFC middleweight champion.  He’d even provide Chael Sonnen with as many rematches as he needed to prove that he’s nowhere near the best man in the division.  Unfortunately (for Bisping), we live in the present universe, and everything above is irrelevant to how history regards his wins & losses.  In this realm of reality, Hector Lombard might earn a title shot before Michael Bisping gets his chance at the belt, and do you know how much that pisses off the ultimate fighter season 3 winner?

“Massively, massively pissed off. Listen, I understand the UFC’s decision, the reason why I haven’t had a title shot is because of me, I’m a realist and I understand what’s happening. I have been in the position to fight for the title several times and have been in number one contender match-up’s several times. So I’ve got no one to blame but myself, I’m not blaming the UFC, I’m not angry with the UFC. If I had beaten Dan Henderson I would have fought for the title but I didn’t , If I had beaten Chael Sonnen I’d be fighting Anderson in Brazil, but I didn’t, I was robbed by the judges, it wasn’t the UFC. So yeah, it’s frustrating to see someone coming from Bellator. I will be honest, I have never seen the guy fight once because I’ve never seen Bellator, I don’t watch it, I have no interest. By all accounts he’s an aggressive fighter and he knocks people out, but I have never seen him fight. He could be the best thing since sliced bread, I don’t’ know. But what I do know is that he has never fought in the UFC, so why the fuck is he getting a title shot?”

Bisping went on to tell the MMA hour that while his fight with Chael Sonnen was close, “the general consensus” is that he won the fight.  We’re not sure who really won the fight because all we have to go by is fifteen minutes of footage and three judges’ scorecards. We’re not nearly smart enough to pick a winner based on just that information. Regardless, we hope Bisping gets his title shot because he’s not happy that some dude he has never heard of with a 24-fight winning streak might get that title fight before him. [Source]
