Micheal Bisping Says Ngannou Would KO Jones If They Ever Fight

Knockout artist Francis Ngannou is making waves with his high profile win at UFC On ESPN 3 by finishing Junior dos Santos at 1:10 of the first round and remains at No. 2 in the rankings behind former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.

With a win, Ngannou proved he still belongs at the top of the heavyweight division. Now what’s next for Cameroonian born native is not known, but he demands a title shot next. Ngannou has tougher, and bigger challenging fights in the heavyweight class. He could face the winner of Miocic vs. Cormier next if all goes well.

Not long ago Ngannou said he definitely wants to fight light heavyweight champion Jon Jones in the future. For years Jones has indicated that a move to heavyweight will eventually happen if promotion lands a super fight between ‘The Predator’ and ‘Bones’ it’ll be one hell of a showdown.

A former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping gives his insight on if this fight ever happens Nagnnou would beat Jones. (h/t BJPenn)

“I can’t help but think that Francis Ngannou pretty much knocks out everybody right now,” Bisping said on his podcast ‘Believe You Me‘. “Of course I think ‘DC’ would be the worst matchup. ‘DC’ would be the worst matchup because of the wrestling. And of course Stipe (Miocic) beat him as well, so we can’t do a disservice to Stipe. But I’ve got a feeling Ngannou would beat Jones. I just do. I know Jones is a good wrestler, he’s got a real nice, fast double leg entry. But I don’t know, I reckon Jones vs. Ngannou, Ngannou takes it.”

Bisping said not only Ngannou can beat ‘Bones’ but can also knockout him that no one ever has done in the past.

“I’m telling you, Ngannou connects with Jon Jones flush, Jones is going to sleep,” he said. “That’s a fact. I’m sorry, I’m not being a hater on Jones for saying that. I’m being pro-Ngannou.”

Jones opens to move to heavyweight but for that promotion has to open their wallet for him means ‘Bones’ asking hefty price for that. Beside Nagnnou fight, Cormier who’s currently a ruling champion if he emerges victorious against Miocic a trilogy with Jones could be on the cards.

So a super fight with Nagnnou is unlikely to happen at the moment despite fans wants it and ‘The Predator’ wants it too. Well, we have to sit back and see how the heavyweight class plays out in the next few months.
