For those who are unaware, Belcher had an sight-threatening injury and was forced to have his retina surgically repaired a few years ago. With that nasty but unintentional eye poke from Michael Bisping in the third round we just hope that Alan is going to be operating at 100% the next day.
With that eye poke, the fight was stopped. Bummer. Bisping was already putting on a striking clinic, but it’s just disappointing to have a fight stopped prematurely. Overall, the fight was pretty boring — however the most intriguing thing happened before the bout when his corner tried to give him water. Note to everyone: never try to give Michael Bisping water.
