Michael Bisping has spoken about Alex Pereira choosing to stay with the UFC on a long deal. At a time when many fighters are talking about pay and contracts, Bisping believes Pereira made the right decision for his career.
Pereira, who has held titles in two weight classes, recently agreed to a new contract that is expected to cover several fights. This move comes as discussions around money in the sport continue, especially with big names like Conor McGregor and Jon Jones not being part of the Freedom 250 event in Washington.
Bisping shared his thoughts while talking on his YouTube channel. He gave an idea of what Pereira could be earning and why the deal works for him.
“I assume he was making somewhere around $3 million to $4 million per fight,” Bisping said.
“This new deal, which probably does lock him up for the rest of his combat sports life, is probably going to be around the $5-6 million range. Who knows? I’m guessing, I’m spit balling, but that would not surprise me. And look at this, Alex Pereira is not complaining.”

Why Bisping Thinks Top Fighters Stay Quiet
Bisping also looked at the bigger picture. While there has been criticism of the UFC from some voices, he pointed out that the biggest stars often do not complain in public.
“He is happy, and it’s the same story with all the guys at the top of the sport. I know just recently a lot of people have been talking sht about the UFC, but funnily enough, the champs, the people at the top of the sport, the best on the planet and in the division, the guys that drive the sport, they’re not btching, they’re not complaining, and I wasn’t back in the day.”
Pereira is now set to compete against Ciryl Gane for an interim heavyweight title at the Freedom 250 card on June 14 in Washington. The fight gives him another chance to add to his record while continuing his run in a new weight class.
With this agreement in place, Pereira appears settled and ready for what comes next. Bisping’s view makes it clear that not every top fighter sees the situation the same way, especially when they are already in a strong position inside the sport.
