MFC drops one of their best fighters and strips his title

Some of you may remember Mark Pavelich, the owner of Maximum Fighting Championships, from his claim that he will beat Strikeforce, Dream, M-1 Global, Sengoku and when that happens, Pavelich has a “plain B”. We’re pretty sure he meant “Plan B” but we’re not holding it against him that he can’t spell. Sometimes I just randomly peck at the keyboard in hopes that paragraphs and complete thoughts will eventually appear on the screen. It’s cool Pavelich, you’re a promoter…not a 4th grade English teacher. Last night, MFC released an unexpected presser that stated they’ve stripped the MFC Light Heavyweight Title from Trevor Prangley and dropped him from their organization over some external promotion beef.

The move was required when Prangley violated his contract by signing with two smaller organizations while under contract with the MFC. Prangley’s management was informed of the violation after the first offense, but Prangley agreed to fight again outside of the MFC in blatant disregard of his signed exclusive contact.

MMAWeekly contacted Prangley and he said “We did ask for dates, we did ask for permission, but we just never got it back from them”. If you’re not familiar with Trevor Prangley, dude had some of the craziest odds in MMA when he fought Dennis Reed at Arena II. Well the craziest odds until the bookies opened up the lines on Alistair Ubereem vs. James Thompson at Dream 12 last week. Those were just disgustingly sick (Ubereem was a -1800 favorite). [Source]
