It’s been less than twenty-four hours since Strikeforce confirmed Gilbert Melendez vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri on their April 9th San Jose card and Japan has already beat America in the ‘race of epic promo videos’. Bummer. Did not expect this lack of ambition from our country and if there’s finger pointing, it will have to be directed at guys like NickTheFace, WarHendo, Genghis Con, LayzieTheSavage and Machine Men. Where were you guys? Look what happened at Pearl Harbor when America failed to strike first. It was a complete disaster. We’ve even seen Japan use footage of Pearl Harbor in their promos, which is not that unacceptable. However, what is unacceptable is not a single one of you promo editors have used footage of America dropping hydrogen bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In the words of the great Wallid Ismail: ‘Come on, show up man’.
