In my camera bag, there’s an empty lens slot that I usually keep stocked with two cold cans of domestic beer. I also keep a Leatherman pocket tool, 100 feet of paracord, a flashlight, two zip ties, a disposable poncho, bubble gum, and a can of Axe deodorant body spray. At any given moment on the job, I’m well equipped to survive an earthquake or pregame for an after party. As a professional photographer for the past decade, I tip my sombrero to Esther Lin every time I see her walking into a room with 40lbs of camera equipment strapped to her 110lb body. Not only does she have awesome equipment, an amazing eye for action photography, and more zip ties than me, but she’s easily the hardest working woman in MMA.
