Conor McGregor doesn’t seem to think a fight with Jake Paul is inevitable whatsoever.
Paul has been calling to face McGregor for a while now, and in a recent interview, stated that it would have to happen at some point.
Why? Because of the money it would generate.
“At some point it’s gotta happen. He’s a businessman, I’m a businessman, and that’s $75 to $100 million dollars for both of us,” Paul said.
Of course, Paul has to get past a legitimate boxer in Hasim Rahman Jr. first who he meets on short-notice next month.
With that said, the YouTuber-turned-boxer is confident in his chances and is looking ahead to a fight with McGregor.
Conor McGregor: You’re A Nobody
McGregor doesn’t seem to agree with Paul, however.
The Irishman took to Twitter to mock Paul’s claims that they would have a lucrative big-money fight by referencing his reportedly poor pay-per-view numbers.
“😂 you’ve 2 fights and done 70k buys.”

McGregor would go on to add the following:
“You are a flop, kid. A nobody.”

Paul hasn’t responded as of yet, but the fact that McGregor responded to him in the first place is a win in itself.
Perhaps if Paul gets an impressive victory next month and displays some solid numbers along the way, he can get his wish for a date with the Irishman eventually.
For now, it appears unlikely.
