Conor McGregor vs. Jake Paul? While that ‘spectacle’ fight is very unlikely to happen, Conor McGregor isn’t saying no to it.
‘Never Say Never’
Well, the former two-division UFC Champion isn’t exactly saying yes to it either, but you get the picture. He didn’t immediately rule out the idea when asked about. For ‘The Notorious’, anything is possible. And yes, that includes a boxing match with a popular influencer.
“Who knows?” McGregor told The Mirror’s Donagh Corby. “Never say never.”
McGregor is coming two straight losses to Dustin Poirier and recovery from his broken leg. Ahead of his return, he has a lot of options for his return. Jake Paul thinks he’s one of them.
Paul has been all but quiet when it comes to a fight with McGregor.
‘The Problem Child’ has called out McGregor on multiple occasions. Beating UFC stars Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley twice isn’t enough for him. He wants the biggest star there is when it comes to MMA and he wants it in the boxing ring.
McGregor Missed Paul’s Last Fight
However, McGregor doesn’t pay much attention to Paul or his antics. He did hear about Paul’s recent KO of Tyron Woodley and also the low amount of pay-per-views sold for that fight. Let’s just say the Irishman wasn’t all that impressed.
“I wasn’t actually watching,” McGregor revealed. It only got a couple thousand buys. I didn’t watch it. I saw it online.”
Conor McGregor also didn’t catch Jake Paul’s rap about him and other fighters in his diss track of Dana White. Paul would take some shots at ‘Mr. Whiskey’ but McGregor still hasn’t listened to the song.
