Yesterday, I speculated that Mayhem Miller’s sudden post about the sex life of UFC President Dana White might be a bad omen, hearkening back to his sporadically dangerous behavior in 2013. It wasn’t a Nostradamus-level extrapolation. After all, he has a history of escalating episodes of unpredictability.
Sure enough, Mayhem is right this moment provoking a SWAT-style standoff with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department at a home in Mission Viejo. He is also Tweeting about it. It began with this this message:
i need to tell everyone about the absolute waste of resources going on outside of my house right now. i am counting no less than 5 officers.

Now the police force has assembled outside his home. As Mayhem said an hour ago, “They have threatened me with a dog bite and are amassing a great force that includes a spotter in the neighbors yard and an uncharasmaticman.”
He is even inviting people to witness the event.

According to Lt. Jeff Hallock with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, they were trying to serve an arrest warrant for alleged stalking when he barricaded himself inside. Miller explained, “[I] woke up late, and couldn’t leave because there is a highly equipment regiment of wanna be soldiers outside my house reminding me that.” He later continued, “ALL THIS because I wanted to help raise a young boy into a man, and his mama wenr off her meds, and an ambitious DA thinks mayhem is BAD.” He also referenced that he was due to go to court this morning, but that the LFPD chased him all night.
His most recent Tweet, 25 minutes ago, was “I WISH YOU NO HARM. I respect the Police, but this is overkill, for something that would be settled with one piece of paperwork from OCBAIL.”
The situation is exactly the sort of thing some fans have worried about. Hopefully everyone, including the officers at the scene, and Jason Miller, resolve this safely.
Update: It took dozens of officers, multiple robots and a couple tweets, but Mayhem is now in custody.
